Acquisition Management Services
The primary role of the Acquisition Management Program Area is to provide Governance and oversight for the procurement of Information Technology goods and services for the State of Ohio. This Program Area also:
- Continually seeks opportunities to leverage and maximize the collective buying power of the State regarding IT procurements while keeping the best interests of the State and it's constituents in mind
- Identifies the appropriate procurement vehicle for all IT purchases some of which include:
- Request for Proposal (RFP)
- Invitation to Bid (ITB)
- State Term Schedule (STS)
- Master Maintenance Agreement (MMA)
- Leads state agencies through the Competitive Selection Process
- Works collaboratively with the Contract Management group and other Program Areas within the Office of Information Technology as well as the Department of Administrative Services

State Procurement Web Site
The Acquisition Management Program Area and State Purchasing of the Department of Administrative Services, General Services Division collaborated to develop a State Procurement Web Site that is:
- A comprehensive body of knowledge for procurement opportunities, services and supplies contract information
- Provides value to both vendors and State of Ohio agencies
- Accessed at www.ohio.gov/procure

Release and Permit Application Web Site
The Web-based Release and Permit System is the vehicle for State of Ohio agencies, boards and commissions to request the use of funds for Information Technology-related expenditures.
- Agency Users interactively log a request and may track its status from entry all the way through completion
- This secured site is used only by authorized State of Ohio agencies
