Enterprise Shared Services

Enterprise Shared Services focuses on the effective and efficient use of technologies in support of multi-agency functions and services. Enterprise Shared Services provides a wide range of services to streamline governmental operations and provide economies of scale to increase efficiencies, time-savings and eliminate redundancy for state agencies. At this time, Enterprise Shared Services offers Geographic Information Services (GIS), electronic commerce and electronic filing through the following programs: Ohio Geographically Referenced Information Program/Geographic Information System Support Center (OGRIP/GIS Support Center); the Electronic Commerce Center (ECC); and the Ohio Business Gateway (OBG).

OGRIP/GIS Support Center

Coordinating Geographic Information Systems (GIS) activities while providing GIS planning assistance and support through the following programs and services:

• Ohio GIS County Profiles.
• Enterprise Geocoding Service.
• Spatial Data Distribution.
• Ohio Metadata Explorer.

ECC

Offering electronic commerce services to enable agencies to begin doing business with trading partners using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) through the following programs and services:

• Data Exchange.
• EDI and Other Transformations.
• HIPAA.
• Customer EDI Business Sites.

OBG

Facilitating electronic filing services through a web-based application that allows businesses to file and pay Ohio sales tax, employer withholding tax, unemployment compensation tax, workers' compensation premiums and negative unclaimed funds in one location through the following programs and services:

• Ohio Business Gateway
• Electronic Filing.
• Available Reports.
• OBG Steering Committe.
