Implementation Timeline
Program Status (February 2003)
More than 900 MARCS units in use at DRC and DYS facilities.
Completion of "fast-track" correctional site implementation - Marion (DRC & DYS), Marysville (DRC), Orient (DRC), Pleasant Valley (DRC), Riverview (DYS) and Southern Ohio (DRC).
Phase 1A voice system operational December 2002.
Phase 1A data system will be operational April 2003
Phase 1 County coverage testing in progress.
Union County pilot program to link county's public safety service agencies with MARCS to be completed May 2003.
Aggressively working with local agencies to share resources and increase interoperability.
