Service Delivery Division, SBC/Ameritech and Qwest are establishing
an Integrated Network Operations Center (INOC) at the State
of Ohio Computer Center (SOCC) to improve the delivery of telecommunications
services under the 1996 Synchronous Optical Network Infrastructure
Contract (known as SOMACS).
State of Ohio and Ameritech technical staff are combined in
the center to manage and coordinate end-to-end maintenance of
SOMACS circuits, reduce repair response time, increase communications
and provide timely information to SOMACS customers. The INOC
agreement establishes new performance standards and customer
service credits.
