
Initiatives on MARCS Steering Committee Agenda The Multi-Agency Radio Communications System (MARCS) Steering Committee will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 26 at the MARCS Program Office, 2323 W. Fifth Ave., Suite 150, Columbus. Highlights of the agenda include the committee’s current initiatives, such as the Coshocton County Broadband efforts and the Ohio Rural Electric Cooperative infrastructure sharing proposal. MARCS is the state of Ohio’s comprehensive wireless communication system for police, fire, emergency medical services and other public safety forces. MARCS provides wireless voice and mobile data for state agencies, including the Ohio departments of Public Safety, Rehabilitation and Correction and Natural Resources. MARCS also provides wireless voice radio service for more than 600 local, county, township, federal and private first-responders. |
