OIT Announces Appointment of OAKS Project Manager
Columbus, Ohio – State Chief Information Officer (CIO) Steve Edmonson today announced the appointment of Clair Overley, Jr. as Project Manager of OAKS. Mr. Overley joins OAKS after holding several project management positions at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) in Columbus.
“Clair has a proven track record in the IT industry and has provided exceptional performance in managing information technology projects,” said State CIO Edmonson.
Mr. Overley most recently served as a Deputy Division Chief at DLA where he oversaw a staff of more than 170 government employees and contractors. His responsibilities included overseeing project management of computer development and testing and writing master plans for the DLA Business System Modernization (BSM) program for the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Additionally, Mr. Overley served as the government lead for a joint 70-person contractor office for the BSM project that implemented Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
Mr. Overley is a former United States Air Force Captain and the recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal with the 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, a Joint Service Commendation Medal, and an Air Force Commendation Medal. He is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and has received several IT-related certifications.
